Our story
We couldn't find a snack after midnight. So we built the store that never closes.
Like a lot of people living in Klang Valley condos, we'd reach for snacks at midnight — and come up empty. The nearest 24-hour mart was a 15-minute drive. Quick commerce apps existed, but a RM3–5 delivery fee on a bag of chips felt absurd.
The real problem was economics. A traditional convenience store running 24 hours needs staff around the clock. That's three shifts, seven days a week, for a floor space that might do RM800 a day in sales. The numbers simply don't work — so most stores close at midnight, and residents go without.
We encountered unmanned convenience stores in Singapore and the US — the concept made immediate sense. No cashier, no closing time. But the experience was clunky: complicated entry flows, unreliable QR codes, and loss rates that made operators nervous. The idea was right. The execution wasn't.
We believed we could build something simpler and more secure. Entry with a bank card tap or a WhatsApp QR code — no app to download. A self-checkout POS that takes seconds. And an in-house security system built from the ground up to detect and recover unpaid items automatically.
We launched our first store in 2023. No AI. No machine learning. Just smart hardware, a purpose-built POS, and cameras that do more than record. The result: we operated with 95% fewer staff than a comparable traditional store, while keeping shelves stocked and the doors open around the clock.
Setup cost 50% less than a traditional convenience store fitout. Monthly operating costs ran 75% lower. Those savings let us offer fair prices to residents rather than pass the overheads on.
What we built without AI already outperformed the old model. With it, the gap gets wider. We're developing intelligent inventory management, predictive restocking, and loss-prevention systems that get sharper with every visit — without adding headcount.
The future of retail isn't larger stores or faster delivery. It's infrastructure that's already there when you need it — in your building, at 3am, stocked with what your neighbours actually buy.
We have 4 stores in the Klang Valley today. 10 more are coming in 2026. And we're just getting started.
